Wilderness and Remote First Aid:
All programs comply with the 2005 ILCOR and CoSTAR guidelines!
This course prepares
individuals to provide care to an injured person for up to 24 hours & focuses on people who:
- Take day trips into the wilderness or enjoy spending time
in remote locations
- Travel in areas where help is hours away
- Recreate within wilderness and remote areas for leisure
It covers all the
components of Standard First Aid as well as many
additional topics related to wilderness and remote areas.
Course length is
20 hours with at least 25% taught in an outdoor setting.
Certification: Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid, AED & Level 'C' CPR. Valid for 3 years.
