Course Time: 40 hrs, 8am-6pm each day
Course Cost: $680.00
This course prepares individuals to provide first response in an emergency. It provides an excellent link between the abilities of a Standard First Aid provider and full EMS response. It is aimed at emergency response professionals such as firefighters, police or first aiders in higher risk industrial environments. It is also the minimum requirement for some patient transfer services.
40 hour course
3-year certification in Red Cross First Responder
Includes CPR Level BLS and AED (Automated External Defibrillation) certification

This course upgrades individuals who have completed a First Responder course within the previous 3 years from an accredited provider and now want to upgrade to Emergency Medical Responder. It meets the Paramedic Association of Canada National Occupational Competency Profiles for the practitioner level of Emergency Medical Responder (EMR).
3-year certification as Emergency Medical Responder and CPR Level BLS
Includes AED (Automated External Defibrillation) certification
NOTE: You MUST have completed either a First Responder (40 hr course) current within 3 years or a First Responder Recertification (20hr course) current within 3 years to qualify for an Emergency Medical Responder Bridge.
